Kieran Butler & Michelle Wilson are life partners who were brought together through music when Michelle met Kieran whilst playing with Melbourne Celtic Rock band 'The Mulligans' in 2001.

They teamed up at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2004 in the first incarnation of what would become the critically acclaimed folk duo, Whimsical Tricycle.

They traveled the world for the next 4 years with their unique blend of original music and storytelling in various shows including 'Around the World in 80 hours' and 'Insane in London'.

A number of songs from their full length CD 'Kismet' featured in the mp3.com.au folk charts in 2006 & 2007.

'Insane in London' hit top 40 on the Australian JJJ roots charts in 2007.

What the critics wrote...

"A straight forward well-crafted story line with excellent musicianship. The romantic comedy interplay is amusing enough not to be overindulgent, but with sufficient heart to be affecting when it matters...

Insane in London can't miss and the reasons are four - Kieran Butler, Michelle Wilson, great songs and sufficient comedy between numbers to hold the show together.

The duo's charisma grows on you. By the time it's over, it's too late; you've had a good evening's entertainment. Butler and Wilson play each moment without ego and with total candour, and that's ultimately the secret to the duo's success.

They're smart, funny, amiable and far more powerful than one would initially suppose. Some shows are critic proof - some for the right reasons,  some for the wrong ones. This one falls into the former category"
